Below we have tried to gather some information and rules about parking that we think may be useful to you.
The driver in charge of the vehicle is obliged to ensure that the vehicle is legally parked. This means actively seeking out the relevant, local parking information and read the signs.
Please see the information below.
The parking regulations in Norway (Parkeringsforskriften) stipulate that payment must be made immediately after the vehicle has been parked. The ticket machine also carries information in English. It is important to insert your payment card to check-in and make sure that the ticket is visible for inspection in the windshield of the vehicle. When you are leaving, you have to insert your card again, to check-out.
Call us as soon as possible on phone number 4000 1177, and we will help you. Please enter the control number on the ticket, or the first four digits of the card number and the last four.
Instead of paying at the parking machine, you can pay for parking with your mobile, using a mobile app. You can use one of the mobile apps below. Click on the icon and you will go directly to their website.
Here you will find a link to the English version of Easypark, which is the most frequently used parking app in Europe (easypark.no).
IN URANIENBORG PARKING INSTALLATION, WHICH IS SITUATED INSIDE THE MOUNTAIN, we have camera reading of number plates.
In Uranienborg car park you can choose one of the following paying methods:
In the parking spaces signposted with the symbol above, you must indicate the time when you park your car. You can set the time in one of the following ways:
If you park before or after the time limit applies, the parking disc must be set at that time when the time limit is reintroduced. Parking disc requirements apply around the clock in some places, or for a given period of time. Check the signs on site.
It is important that you do not park longer than the stated maximum time on the sign. If you are parked without the use of a parking disc or exceeds the maximum time, a control sanction may be imposed.

The parking regulations in Norway (Parkeringsforskriften § 24, 1) stipulate that the vehicle must be placed as directed by sign or remark, and within the marked field. The parking regulations in Norway also stipulate that it is not allowed to stop a vehicle on a walking and cycling path, sidewalk, bus stop, and less than five meters to a junction. The Norwegian website has information about several parking rules and signs.
Here the sign states that the zone (the area within the signs) applies to residential zone parking. Only residents with a housing zone agreement can park here in the period 08–17 on weekdays and 08–15 on Saturdays. Visitors to the residential zones can use the space by the parking machine or a parking meter space. We also sell day- or weekly parking for guests.
In Mandal we have three residential zones. Residents in these zones who do not have a parking space on their own land can apply for a residential zone agreement. A residence certificate and vehicle card must be presented. See a map of the residential zones here, and see the application form in Norwegian. You can also send an application to our email: email@example.com or contact us on phone number 4000 1177. Since we need your residence certificate and vehicle card, we would appreciate if you send us these documents.
